These are my stories.  They come out of my mind.  I’m just a beginner.  So please be kind.

My name is Chris.  People call me Christopher.  I answer to both.  Living in the Music City, Nashville, TN.  Most people move here to make it big in the music biz.  I moved here to make it big in the healthcare biz.  Not really make it big.  That’s a fib.  But moved here I did, and now, with the beginning of this endeavor, who knows what the future may hold.

    • Truthfully, I haven’t paid as much attention to it as I should have. I think parts of it are good for the consumers, you and me. But at the same time I think it’s going to hurt us in the long run. Big business can take the hit financially for higher premiums, but they’re not going to. They will pass the cost to the consumer. Smaller, “mom and pop” business shouldn’t be affected too much because they don’t have enough employees. The businesses that will suffer I think are the ones that are closest to the threshold of employees when they have to start offering insurance. It’ll hold some business back from expanding and I think it will hurt the ones that have already expanded and can’t cover the cost of insurance premiums. Again, I haven’t been following it as closely as I should have and what I’m saying could be incorrect…just my thoughts as of this moment. What do you think about it?

      • And as for healthcare as an industry, it will be helpful in the long run I think. If the mandate that everyone have insurance stays put (something I’m inclining to disagree with) then more people MIGHT go to the doctor. And those that go to the ER for a toothache will have some insurance to maybe pay SOMETHING as opposed to the person dropping off the grid (or not giving good information at registration) and the hospital ends up writing off an $800 ER visit they were bound by law to give anyway.
